Will I see any wildlife?
Kayaking with GoPaddle.ie is one of the best ways to see and get close to wildlife.
Whether it's on our River or Sea kayak tours, kayaking opens a little window into the natural world rarely seen by most in daily life.
There is a huge abundance of wildlife on the Slaney from heron, otters, kingfishers, salmon, water hen, ducks and a curious grey seal is often spotted fishing on the high tide.
While out at sea spotting the seals is always a highlight of the tour. We have both harbour and grey seals in our area.
Every trip brings its own surprises and is unique when it comes to wildlife.
Do I need kayak experience?
- No previous experience is needed to join our tours.
- Our kayaks are stable and easy to use.
- Our friendly guides will give you a few pointers before the tour starts and once you set off they’ll keep the paddling tips and advice going throughout the tour.
